The 17th Western China International Fair (WCIF) was held grandly in Chengdu, Sichuan from September 20^th to 24^th,2018. On the opening ceremony, Hu Chunhua, member of the Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, read out the letter of congratulation made by H.E. Mr. Xi Jinping and made a keynote speech, and Peng Qinghua, Communist Party Chief of Sichuan Province and Wang Bingnan, Vice Minister of Commerce of PRC made a speech respectively. Luigi Di Maio, Italien Deputy Prime Minister and Rt. Hon. Mr. Nanda Bahadur Pun, Vice President of Nepal, both of who are the guests of honor of the 17^th Western China International Fair, made a keynote speech respectively. Xu Fushun, Deputy Director of SASAC and member of the SASAC Party Committee, attended the Belt and Road Countries (Regions) Business Cooperation and Development Conference, and delivered a keynote speech.?

Wang Tongzhou, Chairman of the Board of Directors and of CNMC, was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the 17th Western China International Fair and the 9th Western China International Cooperation Forum, and participated in a series of activities, like the “Belt and Road” Countries (Regions) Business Cooperation and Development Conference on Enterprise Community of Common Future, Central Enterprise and Sichuan Cooperation Symposium and Project Signing Ceremony, 2018 Chengdu International Investment Summit, and made extensive and in-depth exchanges with all walks of life at home and abroad.?

Chairman Wang Tongzhou introduced relevant information briefly that the Company and CNMC had taken an active participation in the construction of "Belt and Road" Initiative, and promoted the high-quality development, in particular the relevant information about China-Zambia Business Forum held at the headquarters of CNMC on September 2nd of this year, its great significance and fruitful achievements. He pointed out that, 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) that was just concluded, has made clear of "Eight Action Plans" that shall be given priority for implementation in 3 years and some time to come on the basis of promoting "Ten China-Africa Cooperation Plans" between China and Africa, which provided guidance and highlighted the key points for central enterprise's participation in the construction of the "Belt and Road" and promotion of business development in Africa. The WCIF created an important platform for central enterprises to participate in the construction of the "Belt and Road" Initiative, and deepen the communication and cooperation among enterprises at home and abroad.?? Recently, CNMC signed the strategic cooperation framework agreement with Dongfang Electric Corporation, which would lay an important foundation for the friendly cooperation between CNMC and central enterprises in Sichuan and other enterprises as well. He pointed out that, CNMC would take the spirit of the 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation as the guidance, fulfill the responsibilities and missions of central enterprise, positively respond to the "Belt and Road" Initiative, focus on industry, highlight major businesses, concentrate on specialty, make plans as a whole, act in a down-to-earth manner, deepen the practical cooperation with the countries along the Belt and Road further, plan a new blueprint of friendly exchanges jointly and open up new space for cooperation and mutual benefits.?

Chairman Wang Tongzhou also made an invitation to domestic and foreign enterprises and people from all walks of life, and welcomed all to the Company and CNMC for visits and inspection, negotiation and cooperation. CNMC would like to go with everybody who is interested in the construction of the "Belt and Road", and make new larger contributions to the win-win development of the countries along the "Belt and Road".??
