Chambishi Copper Smelter LTD (hereinafter referred to as CCS) held a grand but simple commencement ceremony for the Railway-to-Plant Project on the construction site on June 3, 2016, and the Executive Director of the Company and the General Manager of CCS, Fan Wei, and other managerial personnel as well as the personnel in charge of the project construction, transportation partners and other associated personnel attended this event.

CCS's Railway-to-Plant Project is about 3km long, connecting the plant and main line of Mufulira Railway, through which it could reach Congo directly and the project is expected to be completed and put into use this year. The project is of great importance for the Company to build the complete sulfuric acid storage, transportation and marketing system in Zambia-Congo area, expand the sales coverage, reduce the sales costs and improve the competitiveness of the products on the market.
